Vintage Zig Zag Tire Couchon Corkscrew / French Bte S.G.D.G.M. & M France Wine Bottle Opener, Apartment Home Barware Accessories, Wine Gift

The corkscrew was designed and patented by Jules Bart shortly after World War I ended. A period in which peace drove demand for new inventions that made celebrating with wine easier. Also called a tire bouchon, this corkscrew makes opening a bottle easier. The 1950s corkscrews were made on the same French press used to produce the originals from the 1920s.
