Amazing statement piece! "This vase is an example of the ancient Chinese art of "coromandeI" lacquer carving. The base is porcelain and a layer of clay is applied. When the clay has hardened, many layers of lacquer are painted on. Then the hand carving process takes place. Each piece is then sanded and polished to perfection".
