Vintage BELAIS 14k White Gold Cufflinks
Vintage 1910s 14K BELAIS White Gold Cufflinks
These Belais pieces are from the Art Deco period. They are 14k white gold front chain link cufflinks that date from before World War I and no later than the Edwardian era from 1901 until 1910. Based on the link connectors as well as the design, they may very well be from the Victorian era, defined as the time that Queen Victoria reigned from 1837 until 1901.
All four pieces are clearly stamped "Belais 14k W G Front".
Belais History: The Belais brothers developed a formula for a white gold alloy that came to be known as Belais white gold which was it introduced to the public in 1917. They formed a company in New York. The Belais brothers were the masters or gods if you like of white gold jewelry in the early 20th century. When you own a piece Belais, you are owning a piece of jewelry history.
