Vintage Alice A. Richheimer Signed Sculpture Framed Art
Amazing piece and I'm very tempted to keep this! This framed sculpture is by Chicago Artist Alice A. Richheimer. It is an abstract in bronze, steel and pieces of wood mounted on a base of wood and framed. This work is signed on the black wood portion on the side "Alice A. Richheimer" indicating this is an earlier piece created while she was married to Coffee Entrepreneur Robert Richheimer. She later married Richard Culbert and upon moving to California added the last name Culbert Wolk. In addition to independent work, Alice Richeimer-Culbert-Wolk created many large scale public commissions including Peace Museum in Hiroshima, Japan, the New Orleans Community Center, the Woodstock Cultural Center, and several in the Chicago area.
